Intellihot is an American manufacturer of commercial water heaters and boilers. The company sells their product and services in the entire United States and is currently headquartered in Galesburg, IL in the United States.

The idea for Intellihot began in 2009, when co-founder Deivasigamani took a vacation to India.[1] After a 30-hour return trip: his basement was knee-deep in water caused by a busted water heater.[2] Deisvasigamani began working in his garage to come up with a better way to deliver hot water.[3]A motorcycle aficionado, he studiously applied principles of engineering and AI to his efforts.[4]
Intellihot was founded in Peoria IL in 2009.[5]Intellihot’s facility was moved to Galesburg, IL in 2011 after moving out of their incubator in Peoria.[6] The building Intellihot moved into in 2011 is the old Carhartt Factory where they used to make Carhartt clothing.[7] A lot of people from the old Maytag Factory as well as mercury marine are employed there.[8]
Accomplished engineers Sri Deivasigamani and Siva Chinnasamy have created a company that employs more than 100 people.[9] Intellihot creates transformative, next-generation technology solutions to transform the built environment that focuses on increased efficiency, reliability, safety, and sustainability.[10]
In 2018 NASA’s Glenn Research Center awarded a commercial license to Intellihot Inc. which helps them convert their units to hydrogen. The company has 72 patents right now.[11][12]
In 2021 Intellihot was selected to be one of the year's Top 100 Finalists for the 20th annual Chicago Innovation Awards.[13][14]
