Sex refusal[1] is a phenomenon where person denies other person their intent for sexual intercourse.
Core causes[edit]
Some reasons behind sex refusal in relationship include; disrespect, bad treatment, insulting words and anger.[2]
Marriage[edit]
In marriage, sex refusal may increase the chance of divorce,[3] and may be considered a form of cruelty.[4][5]
Long-term relationships[edit]
In romantic relationship, sex refusal to person with high sex drive, may lead to that person concluding that the partner doesn't care about them.[6]
Individual cases[edit]
A case has been documented where person committed suicide over sex refusal.[7] In another case, a person physically violated their spouse over sex refusal.[8] In one case, spouses sex refusal led to annulment.[9]
