The Internal Control Institute (abbreviated as ICI) is a business entity specializing in corporate governance and internal control.[1] The headquarters of The Internal Control Institute is in Clearwater, Florida.[2]
Organization
The Internal Control Institute provides services to organizations to improve their level of internal and operational control activities.[3][4] The Institute offers internal control assessment tools, professional training, and professional certification programs.[3][5]
The Institute's organization includes its Board of Directors,[4] key advisors responsible for management activities,[6] and the Certification Common Body of Knowledge (CBOK), responsible for professional training and certification.[3]
The Internal Control Institute offers professional education and certification programs.[3] It certifies candidates meeting professional requirements who pass examinations to become Certified Internal Control Specialists (CICS) or Certified Internal Control Professionals (CICP).[3]

Internal Control Institute of Zimbabwe (ICIZ) is the authorized representative of the Internal Control Institute in Zimbabwe.[10] ICIZ was authorized by the Internal Control Institute in 2016.[10] ICIZ hosted the 3rd Internal Control Congress for Africa in 2017.[11]
