International Christian Community
International Christian Community (ICC) is an interdenominational English language church in Copenhagen, founded by Ravi Chandran and his wife Lillian Leow in 2002.[1] It is a recognized religious organization by the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs in Denmark.[2]
History and organization
Chandran and Leow, the founders of the church, originally came from Singapore with Hindu and Buddhist backgrounds respectively, converting in a revival in the seventies and eighties. They became missionaries and travelled across Asia, Africa and Europe. They married in 1989. The church was founded in July 2002 with about 60 people attending the first meeting.[1]
Since spring 2008 the congregation has rented Fredens kirke in Østerbro, Copenhagen. The parish renting out the building belongs to the Church of Denmark and still uses the church for afternoon services and other activities.[3]
In 2019 the church had a revenue of 1,763,000 DKK, 1,204,000 DKK of which came from tithings, and an expenditure of 1,536,000 DKK.[2]
Beliefs and practices
Their mission statement is as follows:

Among their statements of faith they state that they believe: The Bible to be inspired by God and the only infallible and authoritative Word of God and the only rule for Christian faith and conduct. and that they believe: That the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing in the human body in answer to believing prayer.[2]
As their central rituals they mention: Bible Teaching and Preaching, Praise and Worship, Prayer and Fasting, Water Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation, Disciple Making, Financial Support, Marriage and Burial.[2]
