International Indenture Labour Route

The International Indenture Labour Route was a project following the inscription of the Aapravasi Ghat, spearheaded by B. Ramallah in the 1970s, on the World Heritage List in Mauritius in 2006. It was initiated by semiologist Khal Torabully and Doudou Diene, ex-director of the Slave Route of UNESCO and finalized by B. Mukherjee, ex-ambassador of India at UNESCO.
