From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

International Society For Interpersonal Acceptance-Rejection (ISIPAR) is a not-for-profit professional organization for researchers and practitioners working on interpersonal relationships, and the largest international psychological organization focusing on interpersonal acceptance-rejection issues [1][2]. The purpose of ISIPAR is to promote multidisciplinary research on issues of interpersonal acceptance-rejection and to foster exchange of information and encourage application of research findings in policy making, clinical practice, and academic research. The society hosts a biennial international meeting and publishes a tri-annual online newsletter[3]. Researchers affiliated with ISIPAR have published their work extensively in form of journal articles, books and book chapters, and also as special issues of peer-reviewed journals with focus on interpersonal acceptance-rejection theory (IPARTheory). The society has its central office housed in the Center for the Study of Interpersonal Acceptance-Rejection at the University of Connecticut, in the United States.

History and founding[edit]

It was chartered to focus primarily on providing a platform for the researchers of interpersonal acceptance-rejection to disseminate their research findings, network, and collaborate internationally [7][8]
