Investors Europe is a Mauritius regulated online stock broker that provides a wide selection of trading platforms to the online trading community from dedicated online trading portals.

On 21 August 2001, Investors Europe was Authorised and Licensed by the Financial Services Commission (Gibraltar),[1] within the European Union, as an execution-only[2] stockbroker servicing professional stock traders and institutional investors with the GL Trade electronic trading platform (subsequently purchased by SunGard for USD 1 Billion).[3]

In 2003, Investors Europe developed and launched the Gibraltar online trading portal[4] for the first time as a professional venue for self trading investors to trade online with a choice of independent electronic trading platforms.

On 21 August 2006, the Gibraltar online trading portal[5] disposed of fifteen independent electronic trading platforms. An electronic trading platform is termed 'independent' if an investor has independence of choice in the matter.

In 2013, the Gibraltar Online Trading Portal disposed of more than thirty electronic trading platforms.[6]

On 14 January 2013, Investors Europe was Authorised and Licensed by the Financial Services Commission (Mauritius).

On 12 June 2013, Regulatory approval was granted by both the Financial Services Commission (Gibraltar) and the Financial Services Commission (Mauritius) for Investors Europe (Mauritius) to takeover the Gibraltar online trading portal from Investors Europe Limited.

On 1 January 2014, Investors Europe rolled out its Mauritius online trading portal.[7]

online trading portal: Founder[edit]

Pierre Bertrand Boulle,[8] the founder of Investors Europe,[8] is British but was born in Mauritius. Bertrand obtained his MBA in International Business at the European University in 1993 and thereafter managed various Banks[9] and Stock Brokers[9] in the European Union including Tradition Group (Ex-Finacor Group),[9] BNP Paribas[9] and Banco Popular.[9] Between 2005 and December 2013, Bertrand championed and protected the rights of MiFID Retail Investors with the FSC and the Government in respect of Gibraltar's 'funding' mechanism for the Investor Protection Scheme.

Prior to investing in Financial markets, Bertrand worked for De Beers and managed diamond mining companies in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa, Tshikapa and Luebo), Angola (Luanda and Lunda Norte, in Lucapa, Andrada, Cuango), Sierra Leone (Kono and Freetown) and Guinea Conakry (Gbenko and Conakry - AREDOR diamond mines). Bertrand's 1989-1992[10] Kimberlite diamond mining project included the World Bank[11] as joint venture partners.
