Iranian plot to assassinate Donald Trump

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Details about an Iranian plot to assassinate Donald Trump were revealed on July 16, 2024, by U.S. Secret Service.[1][2][3] According to U.S. National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson, the threats "arise from Iran's desire to seek revenge" for the assassination of Qasem Soleimani.[4] The threats prompted Secret Service and the Trump campaign to increase security ahead of Thomas Matthew Crooks's attempted assassination of Trump.[5][6]

Response

A foreign ministry spokesman for Iran called the allegations "malicious" and "unsubstantiated".[7][8][9]

Donald Trump Jr. said, "I think it's sort of a great endorsement. When people like Iran want to take you out, that probably means it's good for America, bad for Iran. That may be the greatest political endorsement ever. But when that happens, their capabilities are much more than a kid with a rifle."[10]
