Irvin Charles (born April 13, 1997) is an American football wide receiver for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Penn State and Indiana (PA).
College career[edit]
Charles committed to Penn State in 2015.[1] He transferred to Indiana (PA) on April 15, 2021.[2]
Professional career[edit]
New York Jets[edit]
After going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, Charles signed with the New York Jets.[3] He was a star in rookie minicamp.[4] He continued to have amazing performances in rookie minicamp that he emerged as a "young pass catcher".[5] Since he had great performances, many people wondered if he would break into a deep wide receiver unit.[6] Charles played in all three preseason games and had 4 catches for 27 yards on 81 offensive snaps.[7] He was waived on August 29, 2022.[8] He was elevated to the active roster on January 7, 2023, for the Jets' Week 18 game against the Miami Dolphins.[7]
