2015-2019
Burdiss lived most of his early childhood in Matoaca, Virginia. While there, he learned to play songs on the family grand piano and also received a keyboard and violin. By 2016, he had begun to learn both instruments. On November 19, 2017, he played violin at the annual Richmond Symphony "Come and Play". On April 4, 2019, he performed Prelude in G Major at the annual Relay for Life talent show in Summerville, South Carolina.
2020-2021
According to Burdiss, it was after he heard the song "Booker" by Harry Connick Jr. that he became inspired to play piano on a more leisurely level than just primarily learning technique. Over the course of the next 2 years, Burdiss learned hundreds of songs by ear, including most of the songs on Harry Connick Jr.'s "She" and "Star Turtle". He performed these songs live at both The Central Lounge as well as at Tugtown in South Carolina.
Do You Look? (2022)
In the early summer of 2022, Burdiss began composing his own music with the influence his performances with the 1990s-2000s band The G-Berries at Honkus Studios in Princeton, West Virginia[4]. It is this band that was featured on the track Zachary Taylor later on. After learning some improvisation techniques, Burdiss composed Zachary Taylor, which was used in the Zachary Taylor Time Travels video on the YouTube channel fijmim, which gained attention following Burdiss' video Who Was President When Each President Was Born[5], which now has over 260,000 views. Around the same time, the other 9 tracks on Do You Look? were written. By mid-August 2022, the album was recorded and later published on September 2. With attention from Pinterest, the tracks Zachary Taylor and Boydton now have thousands of listens. Burdiss has thousands of monthly listeners on Spotify as well as other music platforms.
2022 Live Tour
Beginning on August 2, 2022, Burdiss has broadcasted multiple live performances from The Central Lounge[6], in Dorchester, South Carolina. These performances have attracted audiences from similar music, ranging from Phish to The Black Keys. On September 8, 2022, following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Burdiss performed Queen Elizabeth's Golf Course Jam[7] at The Central Lounge in honor of the queen.
