Isaac Rodríguez Betanzos (born 4 January 1985) is a Spanish writer and professional coach. He is best known for his work in Quantum Psychology, a framework exploring consciousness, perception, and the relationship between mind and matter. Betanzos is the founder of Isaac R. Betanzos Solutions FZCO, a Dubai-based consultancy firm.
Early life and education
Isaac Betanzos was born on 4 January 1985 in Cartagena, a port city in the Region of Murcia of southeastern Spain. He attended Salesianos Catholic School in Cartagena, where he completed his primary and secondary education. Betanzos developed an early interest in psychology, consciousness, and human behaviour, which later guided his academic and professional journey. He studied psychology at a Spanish university, where he focused on clinical, educational, and organisational psychology. During this time, he lived in Brighton, UK. He later obtained a Master of Research (MRes) degree in Research Methods in Psychology from Goldsmiths, University of London.
Career
Betanzos began his career as a consultant, while researching and outlining his upcoming books. This search for multicultural theoretical frameworks took him on a global pilgrimage visiting over 100 countries and living in the Czech Republic, Thailand, and United Arab Emirates.
In 2020, he established Isaac R. Betanzos Solutions, a personal development and corporate consulting practice that later became Isaac R. Betanzos Solutions FZCO, headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Betanzos has also worked as a professional coach, mentor, and trainer for executives and organisations, conducting workshops and seminars focused on personal growth, emotional balance, and mental clarity. His methodology integrates psychological principles with modern frameworks of consciousness studies. Betanzos is an active writer and public speaker. His writings explore themes related to time, perception, and the interconnectedness of human experience, often combining scientific insight with philosophical reflection.
Literary work, research and thought leadership
Quantum Psychology
Betanzos focused his work within the Quantum Psychology framework, which is an interdisciplinary, holistic approach connecting ideas from psychology, philosophy, and quantum physics. His formulation draws on multiple sources, including neuroscience, systems thinking, Buddhism, and Eastern traditions. According to Betanzos, the model seeks to encourage self-inquiry and greater awareness of cognitive and emotional processes through metaphors inspired by modern physics. While Quantum Psychology has been discussed in personal development and coaching contexts, it has not been widely addressed in academic psychology. Betanzos has presented the framework in workshops, interviews, and online publications focused on consciousness and self-awareness.
Books and publications
- Quantum Psychology: Re-Thinking Time, Space & Interpersonal Connections (2019) introduces his theoretical framework and explores the relationship between consciousness, perception, and the structure of reality.
- The Quantum Pilgrimage (2019): extends these themes through a narrative format, presenting an abstract existentialist fable that parallels psychological transformation and introspection
- The Majestic Hostage (2020), the first volume of the When I Lived with Terrorists series, departs from theoretical writing to explore existential and ethical questions through fiction. Set in Kenya, it follows a doctor confronting moral and spiritual dilemmas in extreme circumstances.
He has also contributed essays and opinion pieces to online publications such as Pure Esperanza Empowering Consciousness and Kosmopolites Magazine, where he discusses topics related to mindfulness, awareness, and leadership.
Themes and influences
His work integrates ideas from different intellectual and spiritual traditions. It also references concepts from quantum theory, positive psychology, biocentrism, law of attraction, and consciousness studies, as well as philosophical influences such as phenomenology and existentialism. He has also cited inspiration from Eastern contemplative traditions, including meditation Taoist philosophy.
Reception
His publications have been referenced within the Coaching and Personal Development Society. Commentators have described Quantum Psychology as an attempt to reinterpret psychological ideas through metaphorical and experiential perspectives.
Philantropy
Betanzos has been involved in youth development programs like Do It With Boldness, in Kenya, and the Yellow Ribbon Fund, in Prague. He is an ambassador and professor at TETR Business College.[1]
