Club career

Youth career

Iskandar moved to Berlin at 15 after he was offered a place in the youth team of Tennis Borussia Berlin, then in the fourth-tier of German football, after impressing at a training camp. Iskandar then joined Viktoria Berlin in 2017.[1]

Young Lions

After Iskandar enlisted for National Service (NS), he returned to regular football training only eight months after his enlistment and trained with the Young Lions for the remainder of the 2019 season. However, he was not picked in 2020.[1] He then trained with Balestier Khalsa to keep up his fitness. He also played amateur with Singapore Football Club in 2021.

Austria Lustenau

Iskandar began writing to clubs in Europe through the contacts he had developed on his own before his NS ended. Austria Lustenau offered Iskandar a trial. Iskandar signed for the club and played for their under-23 team.[1]

FC Memmingen

Iskandar signed for FC Memmingen and played for their under-23 team, FC Memmingen II in 2022.

International career

Personal life

Iskandar received his National Service (NS) enlistment letter in December 2018 for the following February enlistment while playing for Viktoria Berlin. He served in the Special Operations Command (SOC), which is a specialist tactical unit of the Singapore Police Force from 2019 to 2021.[1]
