It Is Coming
"It Is Coming" is a science fiction short story by American writer Isaac Asimov. It was first published in the Field Enterprises Advertising Brochure in 1979, and reprinted in the collections The Winds of Change and Other Stories (1983).[1]
Plot summary[edit]
When Multivac is contacted by aliens, it is told that humanity must "be efficient or be destroyed." The computer quickly discovers what this means, and saves humanity - and re-evaluates the relationship between computers and humanity along the way.
