The Federazione Esperantista Italiana (F.E.I., Itala Esperanto-Federacio in esperanto language) is a non profit organization[2], that deals with the diffusion of the international auxiliary language esperanto in Italy. Its headquarters are located in Milan[3]. Its youth section is the Gioventù Esperantista Italiana (Italian Esperantist Youth) (in esperanto Itala Esperantista Junularo, abbreviated in I.E.J.)[4]. F.E.I. also owns the esperanto.it Internet domain[5].

Esperanto Language Courses

F.E.I., through its local groups, organizes a series of Esperanto language courses. These courses are generally free and include a final exam run by local members of the International League of Esperanto Teachers, with levels according to the classification of the European framework.

Since 2015, F.E.I. has also directly administered and managed a free language course via Internet and e-mail, the KIREK[22] course, until then managed by the I.E.J., the youth section. This course, translated and adapted from a German mail course, the 'Korrespondenzkurs Esperanto' by Ulrich Becker[23](Berlin, 1990), is available online since 2003.
