Iurie Emilian (born 17 September 1965) is a Moldovan who currently serves as Executive Director of the Eurasia Regional Scout Office of the World Scout Bureau,[1] as well as Secretary of the Eurasia Regional Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).[2]
On 5 October 2015, President Giorgi Margvelashvili of Georgia met with an official delegation from WOSM, led by Scott A. Teare. The delegation included Emilian, Irina Pruidze, Regional Chair of the Eurasia Regional Scout Committee, Giorgi Khvinteliani, President of the Georgian Organization of the Scout Movement, and Tinatin Koyava, Secretary General of the GOSM.[3]
Emilian is married and has two children, graduated in pedagogy from the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts and was qualified as an orchestra conductor. From 1988 to 2002, he served as Director of the Culture and Arts Youth Centre of Chisinau, Chief of the Youth Politics Department of the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism and Prime State Counselor at the State Chancellery of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.[4]
