Ivan Hernandez (born 1976/1977) is an American actor best known for his work in Broadway theatre, as well as his numerous guest appearances on TV shows.
Early life[edit]
Hernandez was born in San Francisco, California. Growing up, he was very interested in music, learning to play the clarinet, piano, and saxophone by the time he was in high school.[1] In college, he began to explore musical theater and decided to pursue it actively as a career. He moved to New York shortly after graduating from San Diego State University.[1]
Career[edit]
Hernandez has appeared on shows like Gossip Girl, Devious Maids, The Good Wife Scandal, Mom, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Never Have I Ever. In 2021, he began appearing on the HBO series And Just Like That... as Franklyn.[1]
On Broadway, Hernandez played Billy Flynn in Chicago in 2015 and Larry Murphy in Dear Evan Hansen from 2019 to 2022.[2] His other theatrical credits include A Chorus Line, Into the Woods, and Doctor Zhivago.[3]

Personal life[edit]
In 2007, Hernandez married German writer and translator Christina "Tine" Fischer.[4] Together, they have two daughters with whom they live in Los Angeles.
