Dr. Iype Cherian (born August 29, 1975) is a neurosurgeon at the College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur in Bharatpur, Nepal and a proponent of cisternostomy, a novel surgical procedure for brain injury. He is Counselor General of Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (ACNS) and in charge of (ACNS) educational courses.[1]

Cherian completed MCh Neurosurgery 2002 – 2008 at Christian Medical College & Hospital.[2]
