Jason Eric Miller (born 1971) is an American author and Professor of English at the Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver)[1]. His main research areas include fiction, screenwriting, literature of the American West,[1] creative nonfiction, early American literature, representations of animals in literature, film studies and Medieval literature.

Previously, he taught literature and creative writing at the American University of Beiruit, and was an assistant professor of screenwriting at Kennesaw State University.

Early Life & Education[edit]

Miller grew up in Twin Lakes, Colorado. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Montana, a Master's degree in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California, and a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Denver[2].

In 2008, Miller was a featured author at Book Fair America in Paris, France.[3] In 2012, the French production company Gedeon/Numéro 4 Production acquired the film rights to his novel Decomposition.[4]
