José Roberto Trujillo is a neurovirologist. He is an assistant professor at the Institute of Human Virology of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and is head of its neurovirology laboratory.[1][self-published source?]
Trujillo spent his childhood in San Pedro Zictepec in central Mexico.[2] He studied neuroscience and virology at Harvard University, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the United States, and became a research assistant at the Harvard School of Public Health.[1]
In 2013 he received the Reconocimiento Ohtli or "Ohtli Award" of the Mexican government, given to Mexican citizens outside Mexico.[2]
