Following the conclusion of the show, Meeboer began performing in New Brunswick, with fellow top 6 contestant, Shania Fillmore.[1]
Starting in early 2013 JD started his new band Bitter Kids which play shows around Ontario with other local bands such as Hardcore Warrior and The Mop Handles. Their largest show to date has been playing the 2014 St. Francis Secondary School Winter Formal. Their set list included originals and covers ranging from Justin Bieber classics to Modanna's "Like a Virgin". February 2014 the band took part in its first tour playing shows in Ottawa, Toronto, St. Catharines, the outskirts of Hamilton, and other cities around Ontario. The band is known for their high energy performances as well as a pop driven, emotional sound comparable to Sleeping with Sirens, often drawing criticism for the highly similar sound.
