James (J.J.) Alfieri (born July 4, 1978) is an American nightclub operator, restaurateur, an actor, director, and producer.[1] [2][3]
Career[edit]
Alfieri was a restaurant and nightclub operator in 2006 at the family-owned Crocodile Bar in Buffalo's Chippewa district.[4] Later, he opened the Iconic Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar[5] and in 2019 he opened the first franchise of the locally famous Bocce Club Pizza.[6]
In 2005 he founded 3C Multimedia, his own production company, where he produced a pilot with Norman Toy a writer on the MacGyver TV show called Discs.[7]
Alfieri first appeared on screen in 2006 in the cult classic horror movie, Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead produced by Lloyd Kaufmen. In 2016 Alfieri was introduced to actor Chadwick Boseman by their mutual friend Addison Henderson when the pair visited JJ's club, Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar during their filming of Marshall in Buffalo.[8]
Martin Krejci a Czech director offered him a small part in Wolfboy when he met Alfieri in 2017 at his club and bar while The True Adventures of Wolfboy crew was finishing up preproduction in Buffalo.[1] Alfieri's also appeared as Gus in the film Clover[9] and played a leading role in an award-winning indie Sci-Fi thriller Givers of Death aka G.O.D.[10] Along with Henderson Alfieri produced: My Brother's Keeper, a television series biopic about the King of Punk Funk, Rick James and a film, Haunted by Dr. King, based on the MLK assassination conspiracy civil trial.[11]
Personal life[edit]
Alfieri lives in Buffalo, New York. He was once married to Gabrielle Mattina but was divorced after a short period of time.[12] Alfieri's father is the owner of the 31 Club in Buffalo, a high end Supper Club.[13]
