Joseph Chauncey Reaves (J Spaz) is a American rapper, singer, songwriter and entrepreneur . His singing career started in 2016 as a solo artist. In 2019 J Spaz released his debut mixtape titled LANELESS[1]

Early Life[edit]
At a young age Joseph Reaves was involved in Boxing[3] and a member of Joe Hands[4] Boxing Gym in Philadelphia mentored by Bernard Humphrey Hopkins Jr.[5] In late 2016, Reaves was shot seven times as a victim to gun violence on the streets of Philadelphia and this tragic incident placed him in a comma for several months. It wasn’t until Reaves awoke from his comma and found his unique sound, Releasing his 1st notable singles at the age of 26, the local Tri State singles "Plotting which has become one of the most popular songs from his Debut musical project titled, “Laneless the mixtape “ Plotting said to be based on the true story of his life where he was the victim of gun violence[6] after the release of Plotting in 2019 J spaz enters the grind house showcase and untimely wins 1st place . In 2019 J spaz teams up with Philadelphia’s battle rap icon E Ness[7] a cast member of the MTV’s[8] Rap reality show Making the band[9] hosted by Shawn Combs also know as Puff Daddy [10] Founder of Bad Boy Records. In 2020 Reaves becomes CEO of now playing digital records a proclaimed record label that originally started off as a YouTube channel distributing underground music in Philadelphia. [11]
