Career
2022: Tusk
He was the bassist for Tusk, a jazz ensemble in the Hawke’s Bay before the project ended with the members citing personal careers coming before collective collaboration. Tusk had one EP released through the label Tin Roof Recordings, a 5-track cover compilation of jazz and soul ensembles. The EP, simply labeled “Covers”, received a mixed response within New Release Radar; some found the band to have great taste within soul music, and others stating the release lacked competence in originality.
Track Listing: What is Hip? (Tower of Power cover) Killing Me Softly (The Fugees cover) Whitecap (Snarky Puppy cover) Teen Town (Weather Report cover) Lady (D’Angelo cover)
Following the split with Tusk, Gutteridge was stated to be following a solo music career. No releases have been noted (as of 19/03/22).
Personal life
Gutteridge is originally from Auckland, New Zealand. He is a folk music producer and former jazz musician.
