Jack Oliver Saunders (born 24 September 1992) is an English television and radio presenter. He is best known for having hosted a variety of shows on Radio X including weekday mid-mornings. He is also known for hosting a number of shows on MTV UK and Ireland.

Career[edit]

Radio[edit]

Saunders joined Kerrang Radio in June 2014, presenting Sunday mornings. Speaking of the opportunity to the Student Radio Association he said "I can't quite get my head around it. You're always trying to achieve your goal but you never feel like it will actually happen".[1]. He went on to cover a variety of shows including the Breakfast Show and Kerrang Radio Chart Show.

In September 2015 Saunders left Kerrang Radio and joined Radio X[2]. From September 2015 to March 2017 he hosted Radio X's Early Weekend Breakfast Show and covered a number of shows across the station including The Chris Moyles Show and The Evening Show. Saunders then went on to host the mid-morning slot on Radio X on 20th March 2017, following the departure of Vernon Kay[3]. Saunders presented the show for a year before leaving on 6th April 2018[4].

Television[edit]

Saunders's career started on UK entertainment channel MTV UK and Ireland in 2016, hosting a number of different shows, including MTV Asks with Green Day[5], Ed Sheeran[6], Biffy Clyro[7] and Royal Blood[8], MTV Presents: Varna Beach[9], MTV Presents: Gibraltar Calling[10] and MTV LIVE at V Festival[11].

Saunders worked with T-Mobile in 2017 to interview the digital characters from the English band Gorillaz, becoming one of the first people in the world to do so[12].

Other work[edit]

Saunders started his new music club night Hopscotch in 2015. In October 2017 Saunders teamed up with Live Nation and took Hopscotch on tour with Yonaka, Anteros and Stereo Honey[13]. The Amazons and Pixie Geldof are other acts that have performed at Hopscotch.

In 2018 Saunders was announced as the face of Diadora's Powered By Defiance campaign with English singer and rapper Yxng Bane[14].

Saunders was a part of 7 For All Mankind's 'We Are Mankind' Spring Summer 2018 Campaign[15]

Personal life[edit]

Saunders grew up in the town of Saffron Walden, Essex. He attended the Nottingham Trent University between 20011 and 2014, studying Broadcast Journalism and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. During his studies at the Nottingham Trent University, Saunders was also a member of the University's student radio station, Fly FM.
