Jackie Charles is a Dream Pop/Synthpop/Indie band from Berlin.[1] The group consists of Kaja Bremnes (lead vocals, synthesisers), Andrew Steingold (guitars, vocals) and Mesut Gürsoy (drums, percussion). They have been heralded as ‘darlings on the continental European underground scene’.[2]
The Line Of Best Fit featured their second single Time Travel and described the song as 'an exercise in hooky dream-rock'.[3] Clash (Magazine) premiered the music video to Time Travel; 'gorgeous sonics but with something slightly unsettling underneath, it's a real trip, one that goes in some unexpected directions'.[4]
Their debut album Future Fantasies[5] was recorded at the private studio and home of Rudolf Schenker from The Scorpions and was released 19th April 2019 via independent Norwegian label Mothermorning. The album was produced and mixed by Jacob Dobewall at Propeller Music Division and mastered by Morgan Nicolaysen at Propeller Mastering, Oslo.
