Located in Central Jersey near the Jersey Shore and the state capital of Trenton, the outlets offer a wide variety of upscale brands at reasonable prices.[3][4][1]

2020-present: Recent history[edit]

During the initial phase of the Covid-19 pandemic all indoor malls in the state of New Jersey were ordered to close down.[8] However, outdoor malls were permitted to stay open for the time being. Shortly after the decision was made to close all indoor malls, Simon Property Group (which owns several indoor retail properties, such as Menlo Park Mall and Rockaway Townsquare) decided to close down all of its properties, including the Jackson Outlets.[9] On June 15, 2020 most nonessential retail was allowed to reopen, malls and outlet malls included.[10]

In September 2021, one of the last surviving Disney Store's in the state at Jackson Outlets closed down.[11] As of 2022, the only Disney Store left in the state could be found at The Mills at Jersey Gardens.[12]
