Early life[edit]
Scott was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He was a part of the CGTV acting program where he learned a lot of his acting techniques.[2]
While at the CGTV program, he worked with actors from Nickelodeon and Disney as well as Adrian, the founder of CGTV. His style of acting is improvisational.[2]
He was discovered by a top agency some time after his time with CGTV and began his start in auditioning and self-taping for top-tier television shows.[2]
Career[edit]
Scott got his breakout role in 2015 on Criminal Minds, a prime time American TV series. Criminal Minds is a fast-paced crime drama about an elite squad of FBI agents who try to outsmart some of the nation’s most dangerous criminals before their next move. Scott was cast on Season 11’s fourth episode titled, "Outlaw", as Cole Vasquez. The episode aired on October 21, 2015. [2]
He has also played a minor character for an episode of Fear the Walking Dead titled: "TEOTWAWKI". The character was the child version of the character, Troy Otto.
It[edit]
In 2016, Scott was cast to play the iconic role, Georgie Denbrough, in the 2017 film adaptation of the novel It.[3] Georgie is a character that Pennywise the Dancing Clown haunts at the start of the film. Scott has said that he did not feel intimidated or scared of Bill Skarsgård, who plays Pennywise, as Skarsgård is a nice person in real life. He celebrated his birthday twice during the shooting of the film as it was both around the time of the wrapping party, the 17th of September, 2016, and the 18th, which is the day of his birthday.[3]
Jackson attended the premiere for the film at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and expressed his excitement to see the rest of the cast at the party. Yet, according to reporters, he fell asleep.[1]
He will reprise his role of Georgie in the sequel to It, which is scheduled to premiere on September 6, 2019.
Locke & Key[edit]
Andrés Muschietti has recruited Jackson to be a part of his one-hour series adaptation of Locke & Key as one of the leading young actors opposite Frances O'Connor. He will play the part of Bode Locke, the youngest of the siblings.[4]
