Jacob "The Fox" Schlichter (born April 2, 1996) is an American-Asian photographer[1] and fashion designer notable for their work with the Tommy Chong brand[2] and for creating the fashion brand "Slicks".[2]
Early life[edit]
Jacob was born in Kolkata, India and raised in Austin, MN.[3]
His interest in photography dates back to his high school days and started with videography using GoPro cameras.[1] Jacob use to want to be an astronomer and used that passion along with his passion for photography to start diving into astrophotography.[1]
Photography career[edit]
Jacob's career as a photographer started with him being a freelance action and event photographer. He'd shoot for artist like Grimes, ODESZA, Clozee, YACHT, Skrillex, and others at festivals and events throughout the nation.[4] These events include art festivals from Burning Man and MOOG Fest to music festivals like SubOctave and racing events like MAPerformance Proving Grounds and The Kannonball Rally.[5]
During this time Jacob was also making a name for himself in the landscape photography scene where he landed placements on ABC6 News[6] and the Austin Living magazine.[7]
Jacob's last gallery exhibit was focused on the George Floyd protests in Minneapolis, MN.[8]
His recent work on display are "HWY 105" and "Sunflowers in Starlight" photos at the Rochester International Airport. Both photos are giclée prints made by Jacob.[2]
Fashion career[edit]
Jacob's started with designing fashion dates in 2016. [9] His latest brand Slicks started in 2019.[2][1][3]
Jacob is also the Apparel head for the Tommy Chong brand.[2][10] The apparel is designed and shipped out of southern Minnesota by Jacob and the Slicks team.[3] The apparel has been briefly featured on Minnesota state-wide news.[11]

Social media influencer[edit]
Jacob's initial rise to fame was during 2020 on TikTok where he amassed several millions of views for his comedic and educational posts. Unfortunately his account was banned but not after becoming affiliated and/ or sponsored by several brands.[13]
As of 2022 Jacob has switched his influencer model to review videos focusing around food and has garnered a niche following while still gaining millions of views.[14]

Jacob was raised in Austin, MN and works out of Albert Lea, MN.[1]
