Jacqueline "Jacqui"[1][2] Piñol (born April 8, 1979 in Queens, New York) is an American Hollywood actress and voice actress. She is best known for her role in Bosch and her voice acting role in Spider-Man (2018) and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).[3] She also appeared under her stage name Jacqueline Aries.[4]

Life[edit]

Piñol is of French and Latin American descent. She moved to Beverly Hills at a young age and graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1997, where she was a member of the renowned high school choir "Madrigal Singers".[5] Shortly afterwards, she continued her acting career, initially using the pseudonym "Jacqueline Aries" before moving on to her maiden name.[6] In addition to English, Piñol speaks Spanish, French, Italian and is learning Mandarin Chinese. She is married to the musician Jonny Blu and they have one child together, Atlas Blu.[7][8][9]

Career[edit]

Piñol's career began as a voice actress for the video game Noir for Microsoft Windows in 1996. This was followed by various guest appearances in television series such as The Pretender, King of Queens, The Division and General Hospital. She then played recurring and larger roles, such as at Ponderosa and Resurrection Blvd.[10] In 2013 and 2014 she provided various voice performances for the films The Fault in Our Stars and The Call - Don't hang up!.[11]
