Jade Signature is a high-rise residential building in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, and is the fourth Jade building developed by Fortune International Group after the adjacent Jade Beach and Jade Ocean and the Jade at Brickell Bay in Miami. The building has a three storey below grade parking garage with 425 spaces instead of an above ground parking pedestal. Underground parking in South Florida is rare and difficult to construct due to the very low elevation and high water table, especially on the beach.[2] This gives it a more approachable ground level street interface, with the main building and its amenities beginning at ground level.[3][4]
Design[edit]
The building was designed by architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, in Sunny Isles Beach, about 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Miami, Florida.[5] The interiors are designed by PYR and the landscaping was designed by Raymond Jungles.[6] Jungles created three separate garden areas for the building, using a different blend of vegetation for each, including a beachfront dune garden.[7][8] Before construction, a tour of a three-dimensional animated movie of the building was available to potential residents.[9] The building was built by Suffolk Construction Company.[2]
Units[edit]
The building has 192 condominium units. Each unit has a 25 foot deep terrace and ocean front view.[10] Overall the building stands at 57 stories tall.[11] Units range from one bedroom with two bathroom units, to five bedroom units. The 56th and 57th floors are entirely dedicated to penthouse suites, which are 10,500 square feet and have terraces that include a private pool.[12] There are also six “sky villas” with double height living areas. 2 films were recently released displaying the expansive interior and expansive spaces of the North and Center Sky Villas.[13][14][15]
General areas[edit]
The building has a 25-metre (82 ft) lap pool on the south side of the building.[16] The base three floors contain amenities including a spa and fitness center, and the beach front includes a resort deck, restaurant, and additional swimming pool.[12][17]
