From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Jaegen (born February 13, 1992) is a Canadian record producer, songwriter and DJ from Brampton, Ontario. Jaegen is most notably known for producing the global hit Unforgettable, a track that would go on to become one of the most streamed tracks on Spotify.[1] & Apple Music history with around a total of 4 billion streams and being on the decade end chart of Billboard as of July 2021[2]

Early Life & Career

Jaegen was born in Mississauga, Ontario. He grew up in Brampton, Ontario and later moved to Toronto, Ontario. In 2012, Jaegen, 20 at the time, enrolled in Ryerson University where he met Ramriddlz, the artist he would go on to work with in the coming years and began his producing career. By 2015, Jaegen was only one year into producing and had already produced a full EP for Ramriddlz, which would then get him noticed by Drake, who decided to remix his viral hit, "Sweeterman". The following year, Jaegen was featured on The FADER's "20 Musicians You Need To Know About In 2016"[3] and had been approached by a number of labels to work on some of their artists' music.[4]

February 25, 2016 marked the day that ZAYN released the Pillowtalk Remix[5] which featured Lil Wayne and all new production in a more laid back hip-hop style, that Jaegen had produced. Later that year, A Boogie wit da Hoodie would release a single titled "Timeless"[6], which was produced by Jaegen and also go on to reach platinum status and peaking at #86 on the Hot 100[7] and #36 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop[8] Chart, his highest peaking single at the time.

Whilst continuously working on projects with Ramriddlz, Jaegen had another single release in which he had production on this time from French Montana. "Unforgettable" which featured vocals from Swae Lee contained production elements of Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Afrobeat, Reggaeton & R&B, with the drums taking a form of a more global and worldly feel. This song would go on to become wildly successful, garnering remixes from the likes of Mariah Carey[9], J Balvin[10], Major Lazer[11] peaking at #1 in various countries across the world as well as the US R&B/Hip-Hop Chart[12]. This song would also go on to peak at #3 on the Hot 100 chart[13]. It is currently one of the most streamed songs of all time on Apple Music & Spotify, sitting at a near total of 4 billion, as well as achieving over a billion streams on YouTube. This song has currently reached diamond certification status in France[14] & Canada[15] and 9 times platinum in the United States[16].

Following the international success of Unforgettable, A Boogie wit da Hoodie tapped in with former collaborator Jaegen to work on his EP titled "International Artist". Jaegen produced 3 tracks on the EP, "Best Friend" with Tory Lanez[17], "Pull Up" with NAV (which would reach gold certification status)[18] and "Deja Vu" with J. Alvarez. Another song that Jaegen produced, titled "Odee" would be added alongside "Pull Up" to A Boogie's sophomore album Hoodie SZN.

After producing multiple singles for artists such as Ramriddlz, KILLY and Gianluca, Jaegen went on to executive produce an EP for Popcaan & Preme titled "Link Up" which featured different artists such as Davido, Wiz Khalifa, Tory Lanez and BEAM over a robust variety of production that fused dance-hall with hip-hop[19].

December 10, 2021 marked the release date of Juice WRLD's second posthumous album, Fighting Demons, which featured a song produced by Jaegen, titled Girl Of My Dreams with SUGA of BTS. This song reached #1 on iTunes in over 50 countries in its first day and over 30 million streams in its first week alone.[20]
