Jahan Rabii, (Alexander Amir-Jahan Rabii) is an American inventor,[1] Internationally recognized researcher, and Aviator. Most notably known for his research in the field of Algae based Life-support, Rabii designed and created the first ABLS system for use on the International Space Station earning him first prize at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair,[2] (ISEF), .

Personal life[edit]

Born in Austin, Texas he graduated from Anderson High school. His commitment to science and engineering can be tied to his close relationship with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He was presented with a unique opportunity due to his aunt, Janet Kavandi, being a veteran astronaut and scientist and introducing him to the field of space flight and aerospace engineering. Due to his scholarships and funding Rabii was able to pursue an education in physics and aviation. This later earned him his Pilots license and eventually lead him to a career as an Aviator in the United States Army.
