James Lee Taylor
James Lee Taylor is an English actor based in Los Angeles.
Early life
Taylor was born on September 4, 1985, in Canvey Island, in Essex.[citation needed] His father was a comedian, Mike Lee Taylor, and his mother a model, Christine Taylor.[citation needed] He went to Leigh Beck Junior School and later Castle View School on Canvey Island.[citation needed]
Career
Taylor worked as the resident DJ at West Ham football club for five years.[1][2] He then went on to DJ for two consecutive years at The Martinez Hotel in Cannes and at Shoreditch House in London.[3][4]
Taylor is a model, initially signed with Select Model Management,[5] and later with IMG models in New York.[6]
Taylor attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre School in New York.[citation needed] Director Sanja Bestic cast him as the lead in her show Tesla at Theatre 80 on St Marks Place.[7] In late 2014, he became the face of Three Olives Vodka, taking over from brand ambassador Clive Owen.[8]
In 2015, Taylor filmed his first major TV role in Being Mary Jane,[9] where he played a recurring role as Gabrielle Union's first white love interest.[citation needed]
