James Christian Rankin (born January 4, 1972) is a Canadian actor, voice actor and puppeteer. Rankin is best known for the voice of Mr. Owl in Franklin (1997–2004).[citation needed]
He is also known for his work on Scary Movie 3 and Superman: Requiem.[citation needed]

Rankin was born in Toronto, Ontario on January 4, 1972.
Career[edit]
Rankin appeared in television credits including Puppets Who Kill, Elliot Moose, The Zack Files and My Hometown.
Rankin's voice credits include The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Rescue Heroes, Bad Dog, Arthur, Super Mario World and Zerby Derby.
Rankin puppeteered as Eco and Stacks in Groundling Marsh, Sammy, Mr. Robin and Grandpa Robin in The Adventures of Dudley the Dragon and as Johnny Crawfish, Sherman, Planet Pup and Slim Pepper Shaker in Noddy.
