James St John Davis (né Bromiley-Davis) is a Common Councilor for the City of London's Candlewick Ward, a position he has held since first being elected in 2022.[1]
St John Davis is a Past Master of the Guild of Young Freemen, highlighting his long-standing involvement in mentoring younger City Freeman and promoting engagement with the livery movement. Additionally, he is a Liveryman and Court Assistant of the Worshipful Company of Insurers, which represents professionals in the insurance industry, and of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners.[2]
Professionally, James St John Davis is the Chief Risk Officer at Hampden Group, an insurance and financial services firm in the Lloyd’s of London market.[3] He has worked in the Lloyd’s insurance market since 2011 and previously held research and advisory roles in the UK Parliament. In addition, he is a Leadership Fellow of St. George’s House at Windsor Castle and has been involved in various charitable boards (supporting youth mentoring, rehabilitation of young offenders, and mental health causes).[4]
