Jamie Lewis (born February 26, 1977), a.ka. Nebula, is an American musician, filmmaker, comedian, and entrepreneur. His career spans two decades in the entertainment and recording industry.[citation needed]

Early life[edit]

Lewis comes from a musical family. He was born in Mount Kisco, NY to Eric Lewis, first violinist of the Manhattan String Quartet and Judith Glyde, cellist also of the Manhattan String Quartet. He is the nephew of violist and composer, Rosemary Glyde. As a young boy, he attended the Manhattan School of Music every Saturday. He studied at the Whitby School, a premier international baccalaureate & Montessori school in Greenwich, Connecticut from 1987 until 1990. After graduating from Pinewood School in Colorado in 1995, he attended a drummers' collective in New York City. He also apprenticed with drummer Kenwood Dennard from 1996 to 1997.[citation needed]

In 1987, a nine-year-old Lewis accompanied his parents, who performed with the Manhattan String Quartet on a United Nations sponsored tour in the U.S.S.R.[1] The tour was repeated in 1989.[citation needed]

Career[edit]

Lewis taught music, recording and rock band at Meade, an elementary school in Stamford, Connecticut from 1999 to 1998.[citation needed]

In 2000, Jamie Lewis was involved in the production of five songs for HBO's "Blackmale," starring Bokeem Woodbine.[2]

In 2002, he moved to Queens, NY where he established his first business: Beats365 and Champ Entertainment, Inc.[3]

He created SonicProducer,[4] an online music production software, which Probeatmaking.com "considered one of the best beat-making programs".[5] The program generated close to $400,000 in sales in the first 12 months, and that led Lewis to sell it for $180,000.[6]

In 2010, he released a 20-track album titled, Battle Raps.[7]

In 2011, Lewis released MegaMusicmaker, which Musicandplayer.com considered "as one of the most popular products among all beat maker software available".[8]

Lewis teaches online marketing techniques as well as multi-media production on his website, IMWithJamie.com.[9][10] In 2011, he released his free, informational site and radio show on JamieLewis.com.[11] In 2012, IM With Jamie 3.0 was released.[12]

Lewis is also the founder of Digibizpro, an online business creator. Jamie's channel on YouTube has generated over 1 million views.[13]

Personal life[edit]

In 1999, his first son, Xavier was born to then girlfriend, Kim Nolan. Lewis married Kristy Bouffard in 2010. A year later, his second son, Jaxson was born.
