Jamie Searle (born 22 April 2000) is a New Zealand footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Swansea City. He is part of the New Zealand team in the football competition at the 2020 Summer Olympics.[1][2][3]

Searle was born in 2000 in Hamilton.[4] From Whakatāne, he played for Whakatāne Town, Tauranga City and Cambridge FC in his early years. He completed his secondary education at St Peter's School in Cambridge, south-east of Hamilton.[5]

Searle played for Melville United AFC during his time at school.[5] His Melville United coach organised trials in the UK for him at Aston Villa Academy and after a month-long trial, he signed his first professional contract in August 2019.[6] For the first half year, either his father or his mother was living with him in Birmingham but since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has lived there by himself. After his time at Aston Villa,[7] he trialled for Blackpool and Sunderland, he started playing for Swansea City. In July 2021, he signed a one-year contract with that club.[5]
