' Jan.E.Man' is a 2021 Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Chidambaran. The film stars Basil Joseph, Arjun Ashokan, Ganapathi and Balu Varghese in the lead. The film was released on 19 November 2021. The film received highly positive reviews from critics and became a commercial success in Box Office with family audiences.
Premise[edit]
Joymon plans his own birthday party to overcome sadness and loneliness, but things take an unpleasant turn when the man next to his friend's house become deceased. Can Joy Mon have a pleasant and cheerful birthday celebration?

Originally made for an OTT release, the producers later changed it to theatrical release. The date was told to be in 19th November 2021.

Critical Response[edit]
The film opened up to positive responses from the critics. Times Of India gave the movie 3.5 stars saying, This is a film that will make you both laugh and cry at the same time, offering insights into the meaning of happiness, togetherness, friendship and more. There is a lot of humanity and thoughtfulness injected into its characters and storyline, mixed with some classic jokes that will make you laugh out loud.
Box Office[edit]
The film got only 8 Lakhs on its first day. But due to the highly positive response, the movie earned 3 crores in the first week and 2.50 crores in the second week.
