Janice Spagnolia (born June 17, 1959), known under her stage name of Jan Terri, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, actress, and record producer. Her parents are Carmen and Mary Spagnolia. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated in 1983 from the Columbia College Chicago with a bachelor's degree in broadcast communications. While working as a limousine driver in the early 90s, she began pursuing her musical career after a long hiatus from her time as a background singer while in college.[1] In 1993, Jan released her first album Baby Blues on her self-made record label JT Records. Jan continued to release five more albums. In 1994, she released High Risk; in 2012, Wild One; in 2013, No Rules; in 2014, Holiday Songs; and in 2022, Songs for Hope.[2] Jan is most famously known for her song and music video deemed 'the worst music video ever' called "Losing You" from her Baby Blues album. She has also appeared on The Daily Show and God Is in the T.V. with Marilyn Manson, with whom she has previously performed. Most of her music videos can be found on YouTube.[3]
