Janet Gregory

Janet Gregory is an Agile testing coach and practitioner, considered "a major contributor to the North American agile testing community"[1] and an "industry expert".[2] She was voted the Most Influential Agile Testing Professional Person at Agile Testing Days 2015,[3] and was named one of the 13 "Women of Influence" in testing in the "Software Test & Performance Magazine" in their January 2010 issue.[4]

Janet Gregory and her colleague Lisa Crispin have been described as "two of the industry's most experienced agile testing practitioners and consultants".[5][6] They have co-authored two notable books on software testing in Agile software development,[7][8] as part of the Addison-Wesley Signature Series; the series is approved by Kent Beck, Mike Cohn & Martin Fowler.[9]

Gregory has written books and articles and taught courses and webinars on Agile testing.[10]Agile Testing: A Practical Guide for Testers and Agile Teams was described as "a gamechanger"[11] by Robert C. Martin, one of the authors of the Agile Manifesto.[12]

Janet Gregory is a contributor to 97 Things Every Programmer Should Know by Kevlin Henney.[13] She has also (co-)authored several articles, including an article on Extreme Programming with Ron Jeffries, another author of the Agile Manifesto.[14]

She was a keynote speaker at Agile Testing & BDD eXchange 2017 in London,[15] at STARCANADA 2017 conference on the topic of "Key Skills and Attributes for Everyone Who Tests Software",[16] with Lisa Crispin on the topics of "Do Testers Have to Code" at Agile Vancouver 2015[17] and Agile Roots 2015[18] and "Myths About Agile Testing, De-Bunked" at AgileTestingDays 2012[19] as well as "Appendix A: Lessons Learned since Agile Testing Was Published" at Agile Testing Days 2011.[20] She was on a panel of speakers at Colombo Agile Conference 2016.[21] She was a speaker at Agilia Conference 2015 on the topics of "Key Factors for Agile Testing Success"[22] and "Agile Testing in Large Organizations and Distributed Teams"[23] At STAREAST 2011 she led a session called "Seven Key Factors for Agile Testing Success".[2]
