Janet Sketchley is a Canadian author of Christian fiction and nonfiction. She is known for the Redemption’s Edge trilogy and her contributions to Canadian Christian publications.

Background

Sketchley was born in Nova Scotia. In 2022, Faith Today described Sketchley as a Canadian writer whose work incorporates mystery and Christian elements, and noting her participation in recreational fencing.[1] Sketchley’s fiction includes the novels Heaven’s Prey (2013), Secrets and Lies (2014), and Without Proof (2015).[2] Her work has also been discussed in the context of Christian-themed writing in Canada.[3] In 2015, Sketchley contributed to the Canadian Christian anthology Hot Apple Cider with Cinnamon.[4] Sketchley has written for the Edmonton Journal, including articles on childhood prayer and depictions of suffering in Christian art.

Janet Sketchley has also published book reviews; for example, in 2011, she reviewed Donna Dawson's novel Rescued, describing it as an informative and thought-provoking work that balances human-interest storytelling with suspense fiction.
