Janette Ewen

Janette Ewen is a décor and lifestyle expert born in Oakville, Ontario, Canada on Jan 16, 1980, and now lives in Toronto. She attended McMaster University, and in 2005 was hired by the editorial department at Chatelaine magazine, moving from there to House and Home before being named editor of Chocolat Magazine.[citation needed]

Career[edit]

Ewen moved into television, becoming a regular on CityLine and making regular appearances on Breakfast Television, Canada AM and Urban Rush.[when?]

Ewen has appeared as a design expert on the television series The Decorating Adventures of Ambrose Price, (HGTV in Canada and VH1 in the U.S.), and as a judge on Season Two of From the Ground Up with Debbie Travis, which aired on HGTV. She was also named by the National Post as one of three Canadian stylists who "get it."[1]

Ewen was a co-host with Ty Pennington on Inside the Box, which aired on W Network in Canada.[2]

In 2007, 2008 and 2009, Ewen was the designer of the Canadian National Home Show’s Dream Home.[3]

Ewen is a regular contributor to The Globe and Mail, and Sweetspot and her work has appeared in and on various media outlets in the United States, Australia and Japan.[citation needed]
