Jank music
"Jank" is a genre of music, classified as a subgenre of Pop music for the new millennium.
Characteristics[edit]
The sound of the Jank genre is described as "guitar-driven pop"[1] and "a guitar melting pot of genres to make one.”[2][3] Jank is known for being “a guitar-driven style of music in the pop pantheon” that is considered visual and cinematic.[4][5]
History[edit]
"Jank" music was originally established globally by "The Brigade" in early 2000s. It was expanded with the addition of Tilky Jones to form the group Tilky & The Brigade in the late 2000s,[6][7][8][9] and continued to be developed in the 2010s by Casely and The Jank[10] .
