Jann-Fiete Arp (born 6 January 2000) is a German footballer who plays as a striker for Hamburger SV’s youth team.
Career
Youth career
Arp started his youth career at his hometown club SV Wahlstedt and played there until 2010 when he moved to Hamburger SV.[1]
Scoring 26 goals in 21 games for Hamburg’s youth in the 2016-17 season, Arp has attracted interest from high-profile clubs like Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund. Markus Gisdol invited Arp to train with the senior team during the winter break, in which he said:[2]
He [Arp] is a super talent and we need to keep him long term. He can become a great player, I am not surprised a bit that players of the same age at the European Championships can't stop him.
— Markus Gisdol, ESPN FC
International career
Arp played for Germany at the 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship where he scored two hat-tricks.[3][4]
