Japan Summons (Japanese: 日本国召喚 Hepburn: Nihonkoku Shoukan) is a Japanese light novel written by Minorou and illustrated by toi8. Originally a web novel, the series has been published in print since 2017. The series follows the nation of Japan, which gets transported to a hostile fantasy world. After Japan is transported, it must carve its way through the dangerous politics of the new world.
The series has received a manga adaptation, serialized in ComicWalker in 2018, with the first volume released in January 19th, 2019. The series has also received a second light novel titled 'Nihonkoku Shoukan Gaiden' in August 2018.
Plot
In the continent of Rodenius, an unidentified flying object arrived at the Principality of Qua-Toyne's airspace. The object defied common sense and was just a harbinger of something even more shocking. The entire nation of Japan has found itself transported to another world and cut off from their old world. Now, Japan has to survive and interact with the natives of this hostile new world.
