Early Life
Japhet Attah Egwumah[1][2] also known by his stage name Japhman is a Nigerian actor, comedian and producer. Born on 4th April 1983, he hails from Ibaji local government area of Kogi State, Nigeria. Also, he attended LEA primary school and RIMI college Kaduna, known as formal Saint John college Kaduna.
Japhman (Japhet Attah Egwumah ) was born in Kaduna State but hails from Kogi State, Nigeria. He completed his primary and secondary school in Kaduna, Nigeria and moved on to Kogi State University to study for a degree in Physics. He discovered his MC (Master of Ceremony) skill in 2005 when he anchored and hosted numerous events in school. He then joined a comedy group formed by his cousin called CC and they started going for shows and acting on stage in 2006, however, the group broke up and he moved on to stand-up comedy and came to the spotlight in 2010 as a comedian.
Career
Japhman began his career at Kogi State University[3] as a stand-up comedian, he was motivated by top world-known comedians like Basketmouth[4], Bovi[5], and Kevin Hart[6]. Japhman was featured in a Nollywood[7] movie titled Oja-Oloja 2019, a Nigerian movie. He developed an interest in acting because he believes acting is part of him, "whenever I talk people find it funny even when I’m serious, nobody takes me seriously, making people laugh and happy is what drives me into acting and that is my inspiration".

Japhman[2] is from a family of four with 2 brothers and a sister, with two children Jaiden A Egwumah, and Jace A Egwumah..

Japhman and family reality show
Japhman is a native of Ibaji Local government in Kogi State Nigeria and he was born in the northern part of Nigeria, where he attended his high school and studied Physics in the famous Kogi State University, he is happily married with 2 kids and about to launch his family reality show called “Japhman and family”.
He said, the reality show is to show how African parents who are based in the western world raise their kids despite the cultural differences, the struggle they go through alongside the day-to-day difficulty in enlightening his children about their culture and language, which will involve his Sierra Leonean wife and kids.
