Jaqlyn (born in Graz, Austria) is an Austrian singer-songwriter of Austrian-Georgian heritage. In 2025, she became the first female artist to sign with the Islamic music label Awakening Music.[1]
Early life and background
Jaqlyn was born and raised in Graz, Austria, to an Austrian mother and a Georgian father. She developed an early interest in music, drawing inspiration from singers such as Celine Dion and Lara Fabian. Before pursuing music professionally, she was also involved in sports and acting.[2]
Career
In September 2024, Jaqlyn appeared on The Voice of Germany, performing Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You. Her performance earned a four-chair turn from the celebrity coaches and gained over four million views on YouTube.[1]
She signed with Awakening Music in 2025, becoming the label’s first female recording artist. Her debut single under the label, titled “This Is Who I Am”, was released in October 2025. The song was co-written with multi-platinum artist Maher Zain and explores themes of faith, identity, and self-acceptance.[3][4]
Personal life
In January 2023, Jaqlyn converted to Islam. She has publicly stated that her faith deeply influences her music and outlook, aiming to bridge spirituality and authenticity in her artistic expression.[5]
