Jas Kalra
Jas Kalra (born c. 1999–2000) is an Indian social worker. He is the president of The Earth Saviours Foundation (TESF), a non-governmental organisation based in Gurugram, Haryana, India. The foundation provides shelter, food, and medical assistance to abandoned senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and homeless people. Kalra assumed the role of president in 2021 after the death of his father, social worker Ravi Kalra, who founded the organisation.[1][2]
Career
Kalra manages The Earth Saviours Foundation, which operates two shelter homes in Bandhwari and Mandawar villages, Gurugram. The organisation provides accommodation, food, and healthcare to destitute and elderly residents.[2] It also conducts rescue operations for people found abandoned on the streets and arranges cremations for unclaimed bodies.[1]
Media reports note that the foundation has helped more than 15,000 people since its establishment in 2008.[3] In interviews, Kalra has stated that the organisation plans to expand its facilities to accommodate a larger number of residents.[4]
