Jason was born September 27, 1979, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
At the age of 16, Jason was the host of FOX’s Dance, Dance, Dance It’s a Teen Thing.
Jason Carter became a member of the Pit Crew of RuPaul's Drag Race at the beginning of Season 3 in 2010 and was a member of the Pit Crew up until season 12 (2020). He holds the title for having the longest run as a Pit Crew member on the show.[5] During the show Jason was involved in photo shoots, sketches, music videos, and other activities performed by the Pit Crew that mainly involved assisting the drag queen contestants in their various competitive tasks.
Jason landed his role as a member of Drag Race's Pit Crew on the final day of casting at the recommendation of one of his friends. "I was a dancer teaching a class in Hollywood and one of the producers was in my class and asked if I might be interested in doing the show. He passed along my information, and I was part of an email chain for about two months and then I came in for the last day of casting. I had to dance in my underwear. Dance like a go-go boy in my underwear for the audition."[6]
