Jason Konopisos is an American award-winning[1] film and television actor, writer, and director.

Konopisos was born in Virginia Beach, VA. His mother is of Greek descent, and his father is of Cuban descent.

Konopisos is related to celebrated artist Dino Konopisos, and his grandfather is Radm. Konstantine Konopisos.[citation needed]

He conceived and directed a low budget film, "The Waiter" (2007), in which he also starred as a hit man.[2][3]

Founded and runs the Konstantine Foundation[4], a government recognized non-profit charity organization that raises funds to develop a center to aid the community.

Konopisos' current roles include "Derek Davis" in the film Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.[5] He has also starred in TV shows such as Prison Break and King of the Hill and films such as Chronicle of Purgatory: The Waiter,[6] "Idiocracy"[7], Untitled Horror Comedy[8], Between Floors and 20 other projects.

He has worked with such great actors as two time Oscar nominee Charles Durning[6] and beloved character actor Glenn Morshower.[6]
